Eucharist

1324 The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life."[134] "The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch."[135]

Preparation for First Communion

The children of the parish begin their preparation normally when they are in the second grade (7 yrears) old. Before they can begin their preparation for receiving the Eucharist, they must have completed their preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Similar to the preparation for Reconciliation, the parents are the primiary eucators in the the prearation for Eucharist as well. In the Spring the parish offers classes for the parents, as well as the necessary books and materials. For more information contact Eva Warner.
