Are you thinking about becoming Catholic?
Thoughout the year people who find themselves called to explore life in the Catholic Church begin what we call the inquiry process, The group of inquirers meet on a monthly basis to pray and reflect primarily on the word of God.
When a person reaches the point when they are more certain that they want to join the Church, if the are unbaptized they then become a catechumen. While the preparation is usually done with a group, it is also a very individual process. Each persons spritiual journey moves at its own pace.
If a person has been previously baptized in another church of eccesial community, they are already considered to be a member of the Church in "a certain though imperfect communion." They are not, therefore, considered catechumens , but candidates for reception into full comunion with the Catholic Church.
R.C.I.A. sessions are held every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Parish Office conference room.
