Effective youth ministry is an integral part of parish life, and should be the concern of every member of the parish. Recently our youth ministry program here at Holy Trinity has been struggling: participation in many of our events is low, our middle school youth coordinator is leaving the area, and our high school youth coordinator has had to step dow because of family obligations. Because of this, the decision has been made to suspend our youth ministry progams until Lent. This will give the parish time to reconsider and revitalize our program.

Keep in mind that youth ministry is not just a program--it is a relationship between the parish and the its youth. In order to thirve, youth ministyr needs the strong Christian vision and support of the adults of the community. Before we can resume our programs, we need to have in place strong teams of adults willing to mentor and share their faith with the middle and high school youth.
